Rememberence 2019
Remembrance Sunday 2018
On Remembrance Sunday the parish remembered those who gave their lives in the two world wars so that we may be free today. With over 100 people in church the congregation listened with the nation to the memorial service at the Cenotaph, after the two minute silence the Vice Dean of Chelmsford Cathedral Revd. Canon Ivor Moody took the service. Poppy wreathes were laid at the war memorial by representatives from the Parish Council, Church, Uniformed groups, Rotary Club and members of the parish both from the past and the present. At the end of the service the congregation processed out of the west door and laid some of the wreaths on the WW1 Roll of Honour memorial in the churchyard concluding with the singing of the National Anthem.
