Friends of St Thomas' Church FOSTC
Are you proud of the parish of Bradwell-on-Sea? Are you interested in its history and heritage? Would you like to help preserve one of the village’s most historic buildings? If so, then why not join the Friends of St Thomas’ Church in Bradwell.
The Friends of St Thomas’ Church are a new group that are interested in St Thomas’ Church buildings, in its heritage, as part of your family life, its history and as an important part of parish life.
The St Thomas’ PCC and the congregation are committed to meeting the day to day running expenses of the church and to do what they can towards the upkeep of this historic church, but they are finding that they are unable to fully fund the full cost of keeping such an ancient building in good condition. They receive no government funding (unless they receive project specific grant funding), and rely heavily on voluntary donations.
This is where the Friends come in. It is a great way to show your support to our church that has been part of parish life for over 700 years.
The group has now started, so if anyone would like to be interested in joining the group, please let us know so you can go on the mailing list.
