Blackmore, Hook End and Wyatts Green Council is a founder member of the BBPCA -- the Brentwood Borough Parish Councils Association.
This is an 'umbrella' gouping of the nine councils that represent the parishes outside the central residential and commercial area of the town. It was formed in 1985 to share information between members and hold the Borough to account for the services it provides to its 23,000 residents. The parishes cover approxiametely 60% of the Borough's total acreage.
The chairmen and clerks to the parishes meet four times a year to exchange views and when possible agree a joint approach to the Borough on matters of concern.
The chairmanship is rotated through two-year periods between the members. The other councils are: Doddinghurst, Navestock, Stondon Massey, Kelvedon Hatch, Ingatestone and Fryerning, West Horndon, Herongate and Ingrave, and Mountnessing.
