Following the Open Day, on Saturday 6th July held in aid of Help For Heroes that raised £,1300 we continued our support for this cause with the sale of some excess, organic produce.
With the good weather in August and having been away for 2 weeks, the Courgettes were rampant and we needed to find a home for them to prevent them going to waste. Earlier in August we delivered a wheelbarrow load to the Salvation Army and had another similar quantity to distribute again.
We filled the car boot and went along to the Community Food Festival @ Birmingham Botanical Gardens. www.birminghambotanicalgardens.org.uk/food-festival
We raised a total of £65 from the excess organic produce.
