A planning application has been submitted to Islington Council to turn the former bank at 403–405 Holloway Road, N7 6HL into an Adult Gaming Centre (gambling premises).

We are concerned about this proposal, and we are encouraging our neighbours and local residents to submit their own objections to Islington Council.
Why are we opposing it?
Our concern is about whether another gambling premises is appropriate for this part of Holloway Road and what it could mean for the future of our local high street.
🎰 There is already an Adult Gaming Centre nearby
There is already an Adult Gaming Centre at 456 Holloway Road, a short distance from the proposed site.
We believe Islington Council should carefully consider the concentration of gambling premises in this area and whether another Adult Gaming Centre is what Holloway Road needs.
🏫 Grafton Primary School is nearby
Grafton Primary School on Eburne Road is also very close to the proposed premises.
Children, parents and families regularly use this part of Holloway Road. We believe this should be an important consideration when deciding whether this is an appropriate location for another gambling premises.
🏘️ We want positive investment in Holloway Road
Many residents have already expressed frustration about the condition and direction of Holloway Road.
There are ongoing concerns about antisocial behaviour, drug activity, graffiti and the general environment in parts of the area.
We want to see positive investment and improvement in Holloway Road — with a diverse range of shops, services and businesses that contribute positively to our neighbourhood and make it a welcoming place for residents and families.
We do not believe another Adult Gaming Centre is the type of development our community needs.
