Loraine Estate Community is a resident-led group of estate residents and local volunteers based at the Loraine Community Centre.

We work with families and Islington Council/partners to strengthen community connections, improve wellbeing, and deliver inclusive activities for children, young people, and older residents, creating a safe, welcoming hub where neighbours can connect, volunteer, and shape their area.

Community starts with us:

What does that mean?

It means taking that first step:

Coming out

Sitting together

Talking

Listening

Understanding one another

Because strong communities are not built online or within small circles.

They are built face-to-face.

They are built when we show up.

💛 A Message to My Neighbours

Let’s do better — together.

Let’s: Share our stories

Let's: Support one another

Think about how we can improve life on our estate

Build something meaningful for ourselves and the next generation

Come to events.
Join in.
Bring your family. Bring your neighbour.

Because when we truly come together, we become stronger.

From Neighbours, For Neighbours

A reminder that:

Connection is possible

Community is still alive

Something better can grow here

For all ages.
For all backgrounds.
For every neighbour.

Everyone is welcome.

🤝 Together, we are a stronger community
