St. James is a member of "Churches Together in Ormskirk and District". 

The aims of Ormskirk and District Churches Together are:

  1. to enable the churches to explore the Christian faith together, to develop mutual relationships;
  2. to encourage churches to worship, pray and reflect together on the nature and purpose of the church in the light of its mission;
  3. to enable the churches to live and share the Gospel, to evangelise together and to take further steps towards fuller unity in Christ Jesus;
  4. to enable the churches to respond to the needs of society and to witness to the Gospel together. 

The main events/activities that CTO work together on are:-

  • Good Friday Walk of Witness through Ormskirk Town Centre.
  • Park Praise – a biennial event in June.
  • Christmas Switch-on of lights.

CTO have also been actively involved with setting up the following initiatives: - Street Pastors, Debt Counselling and Ormskirk Foodbank. For information on these activities see this page -->
