St. James is a member of "Churches Together in Ormskirk and District".
The aims of Ormskirk and District Churches Together are:
- to enable the churches to explore the Christian faith together, to develop mutual relationships;
- to encourage churches to worship, pray and reflect together on the nature and purpose of the church in the light of its mission;
- to enable the churches to live and share the Gospel, to evangelise together and to take further steps towards fuller unity in Christ Jesus;
- to enable the churches to respond to the needs of society and to witness to the Gospel together.
The main events/activities that CTO work together on are:-
- Good Friday Walk of Witness through Ormskirk Town Centre.
- Park Praise – a biennial event in June.
- Christmas Switch-on of lights.
CTO have also been actively involved with setting up the following initiatives: - Street Pastors, Debt Counselling and Ormskirk Foodbank. For information on these activities see this page -->.
