Margaretting village hall is suitable for meetings, wedding receptions, children’s parties, social events and business meetings.
The accommodation comprises the main hall, meeting room, the Chelmer room a spacious entrance foyer, modern kitchen, separate toilets for ladies, gentlemen and the disabled. Attached, but with a separate entrance is the Chelmer room which comprises part of the sports club changing facilities.
Main hall: measures 50ft x 24ft and with an 18ft x 13ft raised stage. There is seating for 100 people, with 10 large and 10 small tables. The hall is licensed for 160 people and can be hired separately or with the meeting room. Sometimes they are let separately at the same time.
Meeting room: measures19ft x 16 ft 9ins with seating for 20 people with 4 large tables.
Chelmer room: measures 29ft 6ins x 13ft 3ins and has a separate toilet and small kitchen.
Main kitchen: there is an electric double oven, a refrigerator, an electric tea urn and a range of crockery and cutlery.
Broadband is available free to hirers. Professional bar facilities are available on request.
The village hall is set in a 4 acre playing field, close to the village centre. The building is also within a short distance of the A12 trunk road, to which it is readily accessible. There is a large parking area adjoining the hall, which is shared with the Sports Clubs when the field is in use.
