We are raising money to help one of our younger members Nicole Stocks after she suffered a life-changing stroke in March 2020, just before COVID struck whilst in her Upper Sixth form at school.
Suddenly, instead of being ready to go to Warwick university to study biology, she was diagnosed with brain cancer which has left her part-paralysed and impacted her vision, speech and mobility. Since then, her life and that of her family has focused on rebuilding her physical strength through various regular physiotherapy sessions and acupuncture. Whilst much of the treatment is free on the NHS, there are significant costs for travel and acupuncture (not covered on the NHS), so we are raising £8000 to cover these costs for at least 9 months.

To drive the fundraising, we held a concert in July 2024, drawing on performances from various members of KCA, to dance, sing, play instruments, sell home made foods and of course enjoy lunch together, led by our amazing queen of food, Beverley Wan.
