High Easter parish is in the district of Uttlesford and the County of Essex, The Parish Council meets monthly (except August) generally on the 1st Monday of the month at 7.30pm in the village hall. Waste Services

Are provided by Uttlesford Distrcit Council. Bin collection in High Easter is generally on Wednesdays and alternates between black bin and recyclying, with food waste collected weekly. For small sections of the parish collections are on Tuesday or Friday. Please see this link for the latest schedule http://bins.uttlesford.gov.uk/

Uttlesford provides a subscription service for Garden waste and details of how to subscribe can be found at this link, https://www.uttlesford.gov.uk/gardenwaste. In addition the Parish Council funds a free service to residents which is available bi-weekly on Saturdays between 11.30am and 12.30pm in the village hall car park. Parish News is distributed monthly by a team of volunteers and covers the 10 villages (Easters, Rodings, Great Canfield). It includes lots of local adverts as well as news, information and articles. The cost is £12 for a year's subscription, please email admin@regc.org.uk if you would like to be added to the distribution list.

Food Outlets

The Snug is a tea shop located at the front of Lodge Coaches in the centre of the village, serving breakfast, lunches and cake! It is open Tuesday - Saturday 9am to 3pm for eat in and take away. https://www.facebook.com/thesSNUGofhigheaster/

The Spotted Dog is the only public house left in the parish and is located in the north of the parish on the road to Barnston. https://the-spotted-dog-bishopsgreen.co.uk/

Post Office

A mobile van service visits every Friday afternoon from 1pm to 2pm, and is parked in the village hall car park. As well as all the normal post offices services, banking services are also available.
