This week is “Village Halls Week” across England. It’s officially a time to celebrate  the role Halls play in the life of rural communities. Managed largely by local volunteers, Village Halls provide a home for so many community and local activities. Without them life would be the poorer yet much of what they provide is not understood or taken for granted.

The Village Hall and playing fields here are managed by Hanna’s Field Charity. The Charity’s trustee management committee are volunteers from the village who work hard to keep the facilities operational and look for ways to improve them for the benefit of everyone in the parish.
Hanna’s Field Charity AGM is on April 29th. This is a meeting open to the public. The trustees will report on the progress over the last 12 months  finacial position after which the new committee is elected. Without people in the village coming forward to be trustees the village hall would close so it’s important if you value the Hall and Playing Fields and would like to know more about the Charity or becoming a trustee, or just getting involved why not contact the Charity now? Use email below and we will get back to you!
