The talk by Gordon Bailey, a local collector of artefacts, who has written several books about his finds.
His books and talks come under the general heading of “Treasure beneath our feet”, not treasure as in value but treasure as in historical significance.
A very entertaining and popular speaker, talking about the items he has unearthed and their history and importance.
This particular talk concerns items of jewellery through the ages that he has found, and their history and significance. Not to be missed!
His talk in April 2015 at the Heritage Centre was greatly applauded, followed by requests for more from him! He has been more than willing to oblige, we are pleased to say.
The Talk in the Heritage centres at 1pm on the 24th May and costs £3, and tea/coffee and cakes are available.
