'Hands Across the Fields'

In an event organised at only 3 days notice, nearly 400 local people unite to join hands along the footpath across the threatened fields to show their love for the area and their passionate opposition to Gladman's proposals.
Those who were physically unable to negotiate the stiles gathered in the road outside, to show their solidarity with the cause.
