Our OO9 layout is called Talybont. It is a typical narrow gauge railway and includes two stations, a quarry and an engine shed. It is entirely JohnB's effort. He rewired it some time ago and added the quarry and the backscene.
It was decided in 2026 that we would exhibit it alongside Quarry Halt at Amersham's Heritage Day on 6th September. Having had a control panel upgrade to two controller working, it worked throughout the exhibition, but it was clear some work was still needed to bring it up to date with new point motors and control of track sections. These are the tasks going forward.
