The first outing of the New Whitchurch Walkers proved to be a great success. Ably led by Chrissie Major, over 20 of us had a most pleasant perambulation round part of the village on Sunday 16^th January.

The gentle 3 mile route, chosen by Chrissie, took us about 90 minutes to complete and, for those of us not concerned about undoing some of the good effects of the walk, there were excellent Cream Teas to be had in the White Swan.

Whitchurch Walkers Even the weather was kind and, apart from mud at 2 or 3 locations which provided some tricky moments for some of us, conditions were ideal.

As a result, we had a most enjoyable afternoon and are looking forward to our next walk which is scheduled for 20^th February. Once again, our meeting point will be the Telephone Box in the High Street at 2pm and Cream Teas will be available by prior arrangement (please contact the Pub direct on 641228).
