Free sustainability reporting

Are you interested in sustainability, but don’t know where to start? The Department of Accounting at the University of Southampton Business School can help!

The department provides free sustainability reports to:

  • Small and medium sized businesses
  • Not for profit organisations
  • Charities
  • Public sector bodies.

This service is free and provided in collaboration with students and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) accredited academics. For more information contact r.j.cartwright@soton.ac.uk or register for one of the introductory webinars:

BioHub, University of Southampton

The BioHub is a platform that helps to connect university members and the Southampton community who have a keen interest in nature/biodiversity by facilitating partnerships and collaborations. We host hub member meetings, attend community events and host events for the public, sharing information, projects and research about nature and biodiversity in the city.

Workers Education Association

The WEA is a national adult education organisation with more than 100 years of experience in bringing educational opportunities to adults of all ages and backgrounds. The WEA is the UK's largest provider of voluntary adult education. The Southern Regional office is based in Southampton, along with the Southampton Branch. Courses on all sorts of subjects, no cost to some.

Centre for Climate Change Education and Communication (CCCEC)

Launched in April 2018, CCCEC is a new ambitious interdisciplinary and collaborative centre aiming to be a home and catalyst for action on Climate Change Education and Communication. On top of research and teaching, they organise public engagement events to raise awareness to the urgency of climate change and provide an environment for personal and collective action to adapt and mitigate the risks.

Training For Work In Communities (TWICS)

TWICS is a community training organisation which promotes the benefit and advances the education of people within the City of Southampton who have disabilities or who are otherwise disadvantaged through poverty or other adverse social conditions. The charity offers a regular programme of courses that are affordable, accessible and, where possible, appropriately accredited. Their mission is to empower people and groups, through training, to take active roles and make positive contributions in their communities.
