The Southampton Sustainability Directory is an initiative aimed at helping green-minded consumers find green businesses, community enterprises and sustainable-themed community groups in and around Southampton. All sections and entries are arranged alphabetically.

If you know of any green enterprises or community groups that should be here, or if you have used one of the enterprises in the Directory and can comment from experience, please  contact us using the form below.
The Directory is currently a joint initiative between Transition Southampton and The Southampton Collective. Established in 2008, Transition Southampton has been creating community led projects in the city including food and gardening related projects and two “green open homes” events as well as the inspiring Imagine Southampton series of events. Current projects include Clean Air Southampton, Repair Cafe and Bike2Basics. The Southampton Collective is a social enterprise set up in 2016 to progress collaborative projects in the city. Only in their fourth year they have been hosts to a number of exciting projects, including:  TEDxSouthampton 2016 and 2018, Riverfest 2017, Climate Conversations, the Dead Good Days Main Event and their current Breathing Spaces project in St Denys. The two organisations are continuing to work together to maintain a high profile for all things sustainable in our city.
The Sustainability Directory was originally set up by Greg Hewitt who put in the many hours needed to set up the site. We are extremely grateful to Beth Dolphin and Yuma Rai from Southampton University for helping us to update the directory in 2018.
