Sunday 10th May is the start of Christian Aid Week. The usual red donation envelopes will be available and can be handed back at church the following Sunday or two as suits.

This year Christian Aid is focussing on tackling urban poverty in Nairobi, Keyna, amd empowering communities through practical support. Climate change is forcing families to move from rural areas to towns and cities, but life in 'informal settlements' is also very difficult. Christian Aid has teamed up with a local organisation which provides seeds, tools, and  training to allow people to grow food in the small spaces between their homes.

As an additional fundraiser, we will have a short quiz which we hope you will enjoy taking part in during our time of tea/coffee after the service. Each table will be a team, so it will be a collaborative effort!

Please do bring some extra cash to donate to boost  our donation to Christain Aid.

Thank you

Lesley McKane - Christian Aid Co-Ordinator.
