Report on Christian Aid Week
The total amount received via Kilrenny Church this year was £634. Christian Aid will also benefit by an additional £112 as a result of some of the donations being gift-aided.
On behalf of Christian Aid, and all who will be helped as a result, a big Thank You!

Congregational singing.
Subject to the First Minister confirming that our geographical area is to be placed in Covid Restriction Level 1 on 7th June, as anticipated, I am delighted to have been informed that congregations will be permitted to sing in church from that date. However masks must still be worn.

Hymn CH 458
At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow,
every tongue confess him King of glory now;
'tis the Father's pleasure we should call him Lord,
who from the beginning was the mighty Word.
Brothers, sister, name him with love strong as death,
but with awe and wonder and with bated breath!
He is God the Saviour, he is Christ the Lord,
ever to be worshipped, trusted, and adored.
In your hearts enthrone him; there let him subdue
all that is not holy, all that is not true;
let his grace support you in temptation's hour;
and his will enfold you in its light and power.
In his Father's glory Christ shall come again,
angel hosts proclaiming his return to reign.
For all wreaths of empire meet upon his brow,
and our hearts confess him King of glory now.
Hymn CH 506
All I once held dear, built my life upon,
all this world reveres, and wars to own,
all I once though gain I have counted loss;
spent and worthless now, compared to this:
Knowing you, Jesus, knowing you, there is no greater thing.
You're my all, you're the best, you're my joy, my righteousness,
and I love you, Lord.
Now my heart's desire is to know you more,
to be found in you and known as yours,
to possess by faith what I could not earn,
all-surpassing gift of righteousness.
Oh, to know the power of your risen life,
and to know you in your sufferings,
to become like you in your death, my Lord,
so with you to live and never die.
Hymn CH 531
My Jesus, my Saviour, Lord, there is none like you.
All of my days I want to praise the wonders of your mighty love.
My comfort, my shelter, tower of refuge and strength,
let every breath, all that I am, never cease to worship you.
Shout to the Lord all the earth, let us sing,
power and majesty, praise to the King.
Mountains bow down and the seas will roar
at the sound of your name.
I sing for joy at the work of your hands,
for ever I'll love you, for ever I'll stand.
Nothing compares to the promise I have in you.
Hymn CH 481
Jesus is the name we honour; Jesus is the name we praise.
Majestic name above all other names, the highest heaven and earth proclaim
that Jesus is our God.
We will glorify, we will lift him high, we will give him honour and praise.
We will glorify, we will lift him high, we will give him honour and praise.
Jesus is the name we worship; Jesus is the name we trust.
He is the King above all other kings, let all creation stand and sing
that Jesus is our God.
Jesus is the Father's splendour; Jesus is the Father's joy.
He will return to reign in majesty, and every eye at last will see
that Jesus is our God.
