Presbytery Property Conference.
Saturday 23 February 2019
10:00 to 12:00
Some of you will recall that we held an evening meeting for all Fabric/Property Conveners in 2016. There have been some changes to the list of conveners since that time and there have been a lot of changes in aspects of property maintenance, management and financing. Also the presbytery has developed a list of agreed property criteria which will be used in determining the status of church buildings within the bounds of the presbytery.
The Presbytery Property Committee thus feels that it is time to run another event for conveners. The date chosen for this is Saturday, 23rd February 2019 and the meeting will be held at Cupar Old Parish Centre from 1000 to 1200 hrs.
The main purpose of the meeting will be to update all concerned on the policies of the General Trustees and Presbytery in regard to church property in these fast changing times for the Church of Scotland. There will also be an opportunity to share relevant information and to seek advice on particular issues.
Mr Ian Townsend, one of the General Trustees of the Church of Scotland will speak at the meeting, as will Mr Ian Ramsay, the St Andrews Presbytery Property Convener.
The programme for the event will be circulated nearer to the time of the meeting. In the interim, please will you note the date in your 2019 diary.
