You are welcome to come along to a meeting for £1 to see if you would like to join as a member.
The Society was founded in 1971. At the start of the 2021-2022 programme, we have approximately 65 members.

Talk by Ed Waugh on Tuesday 24th May is cancelled due to the speaker's ill health. Mike Greatbatch has stepped in to give us a talk entitled "Wherrymen and Chain Horse Lads: River work and the carting trade in the Ouseburn.

PLEASE NOTE
Members of the Society and visitors are welcome at our talks. They and speakers will be signed in at a table in the Lobby of the Hall where hand sanitizer will be available. Contact details will be requested.
We will be serving refreshments after the talk and will reinstate the book sale.
