Keynsham Walkers are Welcome are a voluntary organisation, which have recently attained national status. We aim to make Keynsham a walker friendly town, where visitors and residents alike can enjoy organised walks around beautiful countryside surrounding the town, and partake of the benefits from the facilities the businesses have to offer.

 

 WALK PROGRAMME SUMMER 2026

EVERYBODY INCLUDING DOGS WELCOME - AND IT'S FREE 

 

MAY 17th - A strenuous 7 mile walk around Kelston Roundhill ......Meeting at St Johns Church Keynsham at 9.30 to catch the 9.39 A4 bus to Newbridge Park & Ride. The walk starts here a we ascend the steep climb to Kelston Roundhill, where we stop for a short break to admire the view. We head back via the Swan at Swineford where we shall stop for a longer refreshment break, bring your own lunch pack if needed, then on to Keynsham Marina Extimated arrival time back in Keynsham is 2.30 ish 

JUNE 14th - A short circular walk to Abbotts Wood - No refreshment stop

JULY 19th - Along walk to Compton Dando via Chewton Keynsham

AUG 16th - Meeting a St Johns Church at 10..00 to catch the 10.10 bus to Saltford  for a short walk around the town No refreshment stop

WALKING FESTIVAL 11th - 13th SEPTEMBER

FRIDAY 6.00 pm - A short History walk around Keynsham - No refreshment stop

SATURDAY 10.00 am - A long arduous walk to Compton Dando, Woollard and Lordswood

SUNDAY 10.00am - A 4 mile walk around Hanham IN AID OF CHILDREN IN NEED
