Keynsham Walkers are Welcome are a voluntary organisation, which have recently attained national status. We aim to make Keynsham a walker friendly town, where visitors and residents alike can enjoy organised walks around beautiful countryside surrounding the town, and partake of the benefits from the facilities the businesses have to offer.

BECAUSE OF THE THREAT OF THUNDERSTORMS LATER THIS MORNING TODAYS BBC CHILDREN IN NEED COUNTRYFILE RAMBLE HAS BEEN POSTPONES. IT WILL NOW BE HELD ON SUNDAY 6TH OCTOBER AT 10.00 STARTING FROM THE MEMORIAL PARK BEHIND THE LEISURE CENTRE

 ALL WALKS ARE SUBJECT TO A POSSIBLE CHANGE DEPENDENT ON  CONDITIONS UNDERFOOT

SOME OF THE WALKS COULD BE MUDDY, SO SUITABLE FOOTWEAR ESSENTIAL

 

 

 

 

FRIDAY 20th to SUNDAY 22nd September - WALKING FESTIVAL

Friday 20th September 6.00 pm. Meet at St Johns Church for a history related walk around the Town Centre. This is about 2 miles long and should take 1.5 hours

Satuday 21st September 10.00am. The starting point is in the Memorial Park, behind the Leisure Centre by the wooden bridge next to Bath Hill East car park. This is an 8 mile walk following the River Avon towards Kelston, and coming back via Saltford. There will be a refreshment stop en route

Saturday 21st September 1.00 pm. Meet at the starting point in the Memorial Park described above. This is a short 2.5 mile circular walk to Chewton Keynsham along the River Chew

Sunday 22nd September 10.00am  JOINING THE BBC CHILDREN IN NEED COUNTRYFILE RAMBLE for a 5 mile walk towards Hanham coming back via Hanham Court. There will be a refreshment stop en route
