Essex County Council are now using a phased approach to re-open libraries in line with government guidelines.
From Monday 6 July, 16 libraries across Essex will re-open.
From Monday 13 July, an additional 44 libraries across Essex will reopen.
For the safety of customers and staff libraries will look a little different. Customers will be able to browse for a limited time, return, renew and borrow books. ECC is constantly reviewing the other services they offer and will reintroduce them as soon as it is safe to do so.
