The Bridleway/ Footpath Route and what to expect.

Bottesford Beck Linear Trek:

Enter Bottesford Beck bridleway/ footpath through the access gates with Cafe' Natura to your left. Take the path straight ahead and follow alongside the water. Note: Adjacent to the cafe' is the entrance to the Woodland Nature Trail which may be of interest to the young explorers in your party. If you decide to take this route, you can rejoin the footpath at its exit. With the Beck on your right, continue on towards Holme Lane. On route to Holme Lane you will reach one of the many access paths to the Beck, this will take you to Baldwin Avenue. 

A short distance further on you will reach a  and short path leading to a pond on the left. Continuing on the footpath you will reach a Junction in the footpath and the Iron Bridge to your right. A path over the bridge leads to a walk on the opposite side of the Beck. At the Junction in the footpath there is a path to the left which leads to Saint Peters Church, worth a quick detour.

Continuing on the footpath you will shortly reach Holme Lane with Beck House on the opposite side of the Beck. Cross the road and bear right to reach the next section of the Bridleway/ Footpath.

As you pass through the Frame Barrier you will see the Rain Garden on your left developed and maintained by Friends of Bottesford Beck. The fields on the opposite side of the Beck are home to deer, hare and many other animals and birds.

Continuing on the footpath you will reach the access path to Olive Drive/ Lakeside Parkway.

From here the foopath will take you past the tree lined Holme Hall Golf Course on your right ,and on our left you will pass a row of poplar trees. This section of the footpath will eventually take you to Lakeside Parkway - the end of the Bridleway/ Footpath.

If you enjoyed your trek along the Beck, why not continue on the path which will take you to the car park of Ashby Ville Nature Reserve. Here you can take the circular footpath around the lake and enjoy the ducks, geese and swans etc.
