Welcome to Charterhouse Road Tenants and Residents Association (CRTRA)

The Charterhouse Road Tenants and Residents Association (CRTRA) is a resident-led community group representing Southern Housing tenants and residents living within the Charterhouse Road community in Hackney, London.

CRTRA specifically supports and represents residents of:

  • Charles Utton Court Independent Living Accommodation
  • Mayne Court
  • Icarus Building
  • Apollo Building
  • Epsilon Building
  • Sigma Building
  • Omega Building
  • The Electric Blocks and Charterhouse Road

Our aim is to strengthen community wellbeing, encourage resident involvement, improve communication between residents and Southern Housing, and support positive local change through inclusion, partnership working, and community-led action.

CRTRA was formed to help ensure that residents have a collective voice on matters affecting the local community, including:

  • Housing and estate services
  • Community safety
  • Environmental concerns
  • Resident wellbeing
  • Estate improvements
  • Community activities and inclusion

We are committed to promoting:

  • Community cohesion and neighbourliness
  • Respectful and constructive engagement
  • Positive partnership working with Southern Housing
  • Safer, cleaner, and more connected neighbourhoods

We welcome all residents living within the CRTRA community area who would like to:
