Unfortunately the Society has had to disband at the beginning of 2023 .
Formed in 1946, Camberley Natural History Society is a lively group with an extensive programme of indoor and outdoor meetings to suit most tastes.
Indoor meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month (except August), at High Cross Church, Knoll Road, Camberley at 7.30.pm. The lectures are on varied topics ranging from grasses to flies and weather forecasting to wild-life painting.
The walks and outings are to many local places of interest including such reserves as Lightwater Country Park, Brentmoor Heath, Moor Green Lakes and Thursley Common. We also have trips further afield to such places as Pagham Harbour, Arundel, Selborne, Kew, Tring Natural History Museum and many other sites of Natural History interest. Other society activities include conservation work, coach trips, social events, summer evening walks and additional events organised at shorter notice.
