The playground was added in around 2015 on an unused area of grass next to Bridge House car park - initially linked to the Alf King's Children's Centre next door, although has now become part of the wider Bridge House Pond site.
The Friends of Bridge House Pond campaigned for safety improvements, including a new fence around the site. Thanks to Pocket Park funding from the UK govenment and additional support from Hounslow Council, the new fence was installed in 2019, along with new play equipment (additional baby swings), and repairs to damaged equipment.

Outside the main playground, a new table tennis table was created next to the grass area by the pond to encourage people to be active and play in this area as well - and provide facilities for older children and adults as well.
