A message from Rod Stanczyszyn, Chair of Bewdley says NO to Gladman committee.
It's time for the Bewdley Says NO to Gladman committee to say a very big thank you for all the debate, support and financial contribution you wonderful supporters have given to us.We have received lots of positive news over the last few weeks. Bewdley Town Council's planning committee have agreed that this application is inappropriate for the town and our MP has strongly given his view that speculative applications like this are wrong. This does not mean that the fight is over. We very much hope that the Wyre Forest DC planning committee also rejects it. But we have sound advice that Gladman will immediately ask for an appeal against that decision – that is the way they work. In that case, it will be a good idea that we have direct legal representation at the appeal hearing. It could cost £10,000+ and this is the reason why we need to continue fundraising. Please continue to tell as many people as you can about the campaign and how it is essential that we stop this area from being ruined by greedy developers.
