We remain upset about the closure of the main path at Woodhouse, below Melville embankment, due to unauthorised excavations at a neighbouring property. As a result, Council land has been tipped on, the path has been closed, a major gas main has had to be diverted. There is now no access for push chairs, bikes, wheelchairs, as the path diversions all involve steps. The temporary fencing and excvations are a real eyesore.
We have been raising this issue with planning enforcement, parks officers and ward councillors since 2021. There has been zero recent communication to the public from the Council, other than official path closure notices - it really is a sorry state of affairs.
