On 30 June we will be hosting the London Blind Rambling Club. We have been doing this for quite a number of years. The group has about 40 blind or partially sighted walkers, who go for weekly walks in the London area.

Usually about 10 walkers will join us on the day. Unfortunately we won’t know how many until 1 or 2 days before. Some of these walkers come with a guide or even a dog but some will need guiding by us.

The day will have two walks, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Packed lunch will be eaten at St Laurence Room Winslow. An afternoon tea will be organised by our club for after the walk.

To make this day a success we will need your help. We need help with the following:

- Volunteers to pick up the walkers from Bletchley train station to Winslow and vice versa.

- Volunteers to help guide the walkers for either one or both walks.

Please see the link on how you can guide a blind person, although they are quite happy to show you what way works best for them. https://www.rnib.org.uk/advice/guiding-blind-or-partially-sighted-person

If you are able to help please contact winslowramblers@gmail.com

Whether or not you can commit to assisting on the day, all members are welcome. You can join either one or both walks and also join us for lunch (bring packed lunch) and/or tea.

We look forward to seeing you.
