Bloom & Create- Art Workshop

On Wednesday 15th April 2026, as part of Bloom & Create, children and young people took part in a creative nature-inspired art session at Loraine Community Centre. Participants explored the outdoor surroundings and used plants, flowers and natural objects as inspiration for their artwork.

The session encouraged creativity, observation skills and mindfulness, allowing children to slow down, connect with nature and express themselves through drawing. Participants created a variety of sketches, from flowers and plants to imaginative interpretations of the natural surroundings. The relaxed atmosphere gave children and young people space to learn, socialise and build confidence while enjoying a positive and engaging community activity.

The session reflected the core aim of Bloom & Create — bringing neighbours together, supporting wellbeing through creativity, and helping residents enjoy and appreciate the shared green spaces around Loraine Estate.
