A trip to Southampton on the ferry!
SoCAN's Doughnut Economics workshop took place on Saturday 8 July, 10-3pm at The Friends Meeting House in Southampton. Titled 'Can Doughnut Economics future-proof Southampton?
It was a great day getting into the Doughnut, seeing it in action in a local community-owned business – October Books - and finding out about all the cities who are already using the Doughnut with their communities.
This free participative workshop gave participants the opportunity to understand how the Doughnut Economics model works and how we can use it to create a safe and just space for humanity and the planet.
It was a exploration of a new way of looking at the future with no knowledge of economics needed.
