Rothsay Ramblers was formed as a separate group in 1991, and has about 125 members. We are a sociable group whose primary aim is to enjoy walking in the countryside within a 20 mile radius of Bedford, including Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

Latest Covid Restrictions

We have restarted our programme of small group walks with social distancing of three, four and five miles for up to six people per walk. If all goes well outdoors hospitality may be available from 12thApril and we should be able to extend the size of our groups to a maximum of 12 from 17th May.

Walks of this type are available for current members. You will need to contact the walk leader (usually text is preferred) to book a place on a walk if you have not yet done so. Please note that you will need to book again on walks that were previously cancelled and are now running on new dates as bookings will not be transferred.

Our walks are organised in line with current Government Guidelines and are limited by facilities that are available, hence walk leaders may not be able to organise hospitality or may need to limit the group size.

Let's hope all continues to go well with coming out of Lockdown and the Government’s dates remain on track.

Please check the calendar for walks planned later in 2021.
