This page begins with some history - where it all began, in 2012, with a plan to stage "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." So to start with, we needed to get people together, generate some enthusiasm, and raise a pound or two to get the show up and running.

JAZZ BARBECUE

The Jazz Barbecue on 11th August was a huge success. About 100 people came, and enjoyed the fantastic food - and patronised the bar! The Sampford Stompers provided their own inimitable brand of jazz classics. And the sun shone - quite a feat for that summer! Sampford Stomopers at Barbecue
It was a ticket-only event, with the aim of raising a bit of money for the expenses of the production - the performing licence, costumes, making basic scenery, and so on. After all costs of the barbecue were met, there was £655 "in the bank".

The Joseph show is owned by The Really Useful Company. They were really generous in what they asked of us. Normally it would cost £100 a performance for their licence (and we're planning four), plus a fee for using the official logo. Knowing that we are a church and community group, they have asked for just £150 in total, to cover all our shows.
