Just to let all residents know that a topping cut will be carried out on the common before the end of October. Although it may look drastic when first done, this is good management practice for common land and will help to enhance the biodiversity there. The parish council is working in conjunction with wildlife organisations including The Conservation Volunteers to understand how best to manage the common land for wildlife and the local community.
