Keynsham Walkers are Welcome are a voluntary organisation, which have recently attained national status. We aim to make Keynsham a walker friendly town, where visitors and residents alike can enjoy organised walks around beautiful countryside surrounding the town, and partake of the benefits from the facilities the businesses have to offer.

WALK PROGRAMME SUMMER 2025
PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE TO THE PROGRAMMED WALK IN APRIL
Sunday 13th April 10.00 - Meet at the start point in the Memorial Park behind the Leisure Centre for a 5 mile circular walk towards Bitton, joining the cycle path to Willsbridge Nature Reserve, then back along the River Avon. There will be a refreshment stop en route
Sunday 4th May - A Guest walk leader
Sunday 18th May 10.00 - Meet at the Fox & Hounds car park to catch the Dial-a-Ride minibus to Radstock for a long walk around the local countryside, then minibus back to Keynsham. There will be a refreshment stop
Saturday 7th June - Meet at Keynsham Railway Station, at a time to be arranged, to catch the Bradford-on-Avon train for a short walk around the Wiltshire counntry side. There will be time to explore this lovely town, before we catch the train home
Sunday 22nd June - Meet at St Johns Church, at a time to be arranged, to catch the bus to Saltford for a long circular walk, finishing up walking back to Keynsham
Sunday 13th July 10.00 - Meet at the Fox & Hounds car park to catch the Dial-a-Ride minibus to Portishead for a 6 mile circular walk including Clevedon, then minibus back to Keynsham. There will be a refreshment stop
Sunday 27th July - Meet at St Johns Church, at a time to be arranged, to catch the bus to Newbridge for a circular walk up Kelston Round Hill, heading back to the Boathouse for refreshments, before catching the bus home. This is classed as a strenuous walk
Sunday 10th August - A Guest Walk Leader
Sunday 24th August 10.00 - Meet ai the Memorial Park behind the Leisure Centre for a long walk to Swineford and back. There will be a refreshment stop
Sunday 7th September 10.00 - Meet at the Fox & Hounds car park to catch the Dial-a-Ride minibus to Warmley car park for a 3 mile walk around Warmley Forest Park, finishing at the Waiting Rooms Cafe, before we catch the minibus home
Sunday 21st September 10.00 - Meet at the Fox & Hounds car park to catch the Dial-a-Ride minibus to Charterhouse near Priddy for a long circular walk around Velvet Bottom, then catch the minibus back to Keynsham. A refreshment stop is included
