Social Media & Digital Assistant
Role Title: Volunteer Social Media & Digital Assistant
Location: Remote / Hybrid (Birmingham Studio)
Commitment: 2–3 hours per week (flexible)
About the Role:
Hope Radio Brum keeps our community connected on the airwaves, but our digital presence is just as vital. We are looking for a creative Social Media & Digital Assistant to bring our grassroots stories to life online. You will play a crucial role in the ecosystem by taking finished articles from our Volunteer Website News Writers and transform them into engaging posts for the official Hope Radio Brum Facebook Page and other online hubs. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and update the station’s social media channels with a primary focus on community engagement.
- Review and adapt published stories from our Volunteer Website News Writers into short, visually striking social media updates.
- Highlight broadcast times, special interview segments, and community alerts created by our on-air production teams.
- Interact with listeners online by responding to messages, monitoring comments, and sharing hyper-local event graphics. [1]
What We Are Looking For:
- Comfortable using platforms like Facebook and basic graphic design tools (such as Canva) to create clean, clear visuals.
- Enthusiastic about translating community-focused news into punchy, digital formats that local families love to share.
- Good communication skills and a respectful online etiquette that aligns with standard community guidelines.
