See the YouTube Video of the Hedging Day
On Friday 26 March 2010 we held a very successful work day with the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV).
Along the Wick Road boundary we planted two sections of dead hedging using Hazel stakes cut from Petersham Woods and Sycamore stakes from Belhus Woods in Essex.
We also planted about 75 hedge plants, mostly along the Bushy Park Road boundary and some in the gap along the railway boundary. The hedging plants consisted of Blackthorn, Hawthorn, Wayfaring Tree, Spindle, Wild Privet, Field Maple, Guelder Rose and Dog Rose.
A local filmmaker also came to video our work as part of his film of Teddington and Hampton during 2010.
