Friends of Pontefract Park meet every month in Aspire, the second Thursday of each month (except December) at 10am. Everyone is welcome to attend and learn what we're planning, and if you are inclined, to get involved. Volunteers are especially welcome at planting times in May and October, when the beds and boats need replanting. There's also spring bulb planting in the autumn. Litter picking is every Wednesday at 10am, weather permitting and we meet at our room down the side of Aspire at the Park.
We also welcome corporate volunteering days. In the past couple of years we have had the help of the NHS Supply Chain who have helped with planting, leaf clearing and maintenance of the Peter Peregrine sculpturesl
