Friends of Pontefract Park is a voluntary community group formed in 2012 to preserve, protect, develop and improve Pontefract Park as an excellent urban green space for the benefit of the community. To achieve this aim, the friends group is working in partnership with Wakefield Council and Pontefract Racecourse Company.
