Friends Of Landport Bottom

In 1264, forces led by the rebel baron Simon de Montfort defeated those of King Henry III at the Battle of Lewes, a victory which led the formation of the first English Parliament to include representatives from every borough. Landport Bottom forms part of the battle site.
