Network Rail have announced that the Fullers End crossing is a candidate for closure.

Revisions were submitted in December 2018

These proposals and the feedback you provided are now being considered. More information on which proposals will progress into the Transport and Works Act Orders were  published in spring 2017.

March 31st  2017 - The Transport & Works Act Order has  been submitted by Network Rail to the Secretary of State.

The deadline for objections was 12th May 2017.  

A public inquiry was held from 17 October 2018 and 14 March 2019.

August 2019:  NR are currently waiting for the Planning Inspectorate to confirm that the Inspector submitted their report to the Department for Transport & will then await a decision from the Secretary of State for Transport; whilst this is subject to change, this is currently expected in 2021.

16th March 2022 - A decision letter is issued by the Department of Transport.
