Welcome to the EROWOS website.

The Rights Of Way & Open Spaces committee (EROWOS) is a committee of Elsenham Parish Council.

We are responsible for the Rights of Way and Open Spaces within the parish (except the Playing Field).

We arrange regular walks and working parties on the PRoW network.

We are a member of Essex County Council Parish Paths Patnership (P3).

Please join us on our next village ramble on Good Friday 29 March 2024.

This is a long standing village tradition and is a good chance to catch up with friends & acquaintances during a relaxed ramble on local footpaths.

A great way to discover safe local walks and meet new people if you are new to the area.

Meet at 2.15pm at The Playing Field Top Car Park.

Everyone welcome. Bring the children and dogs (dogs on leads please).

Unfortunately the paths are  too difficult for prams or wheelchairs as its VERY Muddy.

When out walking in the countryside stay on designated paths and do not wander into farmers fields.

Please remember when walking on public footpaths through fields with livestock your dog MUST be under close control and on a lead. This is particularly important during the lambing season.

New version of the Countryside Code

Thank you to everyone who helps at the Spinney Working Parties.
