Narciso’s Goan Beef Steak with Bacon and Fresh Coriander

Ingredients

500g Beef steak
1 tsp ground black pepper
½ inch piece of ginger (pounded) or 1 tsp ginger paste
2 cloves garlic (pounded) or 1 tsp garlic paste
Lea & Perrin sauce 2 green chilies
3 tomatoes quartered
2 large onions sliced
Bacon
Oxo cube
1 bunch Fresh coriander

Cooking Steps

Step 1
Slice the meat into 1” thick thin long slices. Rub the meat with the salt, pepper, ginger & garlic paste and a good splash of Lea & Perrin.  Keep aside for ½ hr.

Step 2
Add a chopped onion to the marinated meat and an oxo cube and cook with a little water until the meat is tender.

Step 3
Fry the bacon, remove and keep aside. Add the sliced onion to the pan and when brown, add the sliced green chilies, tomatoes and mushrooms, fry and keep aside. 

Add the meat, bacon to the fried onions, tomatoes mixture and cook in a casserole dish in the oven for approximately 35 minutes until the meat is tender.

Remove from the oven and stir in 2 large spoons of vinegar to taste.

 

Serve with fried chips and fried eggs.
