Our Volunteer Centre has been based at the Centrale Shopping Centre in Croydon for 18 months now and is going from strength to strength.

Over 4,000 individuals have come into the shop to enquire about volunteering for the first time - in addition to the online enquiries - it has been a busy year!

This year, our Volunteer Centre office based volunteers contributed more than 6,500 hours.  But this is just the tip of the iceberg - they are donating many more hours of volunteering at events, at court and through the new Appropriate Adults scheme.

Volunteering in administration for CVA has been an enriching experience in many ways.  I have met many lovely people and felt I have contributed to the community by supporting a worthy cause.  Furthermore, it has helped my social isolation while being a jobseeker and enabled me to gain valuable new office skills.  An added bonus is that the biscuit tin is always generously stocked!

Our volunteers at the Croydon Magistrates and Crown Courts have enabled women entering the Criminal Justice System to feel supported and turn their lives around and we are continuing this work with support from Turning Point.

We must commend the wonderful work the people involved (project managers and volunteers) have done towards helping women facing court

Team Croydon Events volunteers have been busy this year supporting 26 events and activities, as well as fundraising to support the work of the Volunteer Centre.

It is not an exaggeration to say we could not have done it without you and your volunteers.
