London Walking Festival
Wednesday 06 May 2026
18:00 to 21:00
Join National Park City London Ranger Catherine for a series of walks in nature, bringing together sound, song, and sensory exploration in nature's beauty.
A series of events - free (Creative Croydon) and low fee paying (Calat) walks - will bring you delight and new connections to the land and each other. Excited to offer these Weds evenings around the glorious golden hours. Plus some mornings too.
This is part of the National Park City London walking festival, led by National Park City Ranger Catherine Pestano (Walk Fitness leader). Two three hour gentle singing walks are provided by Calat (6 and 20 May eves) and three shorter ones offered by Creative Croydon, free as funded by WCGL (20th & 30th May AM and 27th May eve).
Calat is offering a series of two music heritage local walks in CR7 for a low wellbeing fee of £30 for two, on 6th and 20th May. To be booked as a pair (series of 2 x 3 hours) via Calat.ac.uk website asap. This first date is also part of the Urban Tree Festival week. We will visit different Culture Heritage spots of Thornton Heath and sing related songs and chants together.
2 x three hour sessions will allow for walking and some singing related to the points of interest. This will draw on the Museum of Culture's Croydon Music heritage curated content (Year of Culture) , local green spaces and the National Gallery art trail.

Creative Croydon is offering two morning and one evening singing stroll in different places in Croydon and Sutton.
