We were pretty heavily outgraded on the top boards, so any points gained there were well earned. It is a great pity that Hertfordshire and Barnet turned up with players missing and that caused a bit of frustration all round. However, despite this, this must rank as one of our best Under 11 performances for many years – I couldn’t find a better one in my search through the archives! A pity we were pipped to 1st place by our lowest score in round 3 but still a good score.
What is particularly promising is that we have a young team – half our team will
be eligible to play next year.
