BRIAR ROAD ALLOTMENT HOLDER’S ASSOCIATION
Dear Plot Holders,
We hope everyone is well and the growing season is underway. A few updates:
SUNDAY 17TH MAY – PLANT SALE 10.30am – 1pm: A quick reminder of our upcoming plant sale. We’ll be very grateful for any spare plants that you might have. We’d also be very grateful for any offers of help on the day - either with set up, or support early on when it’s likely to be busy. If you can spare some time to help, please get in touch. Refreshments will be available and the site shop will be open
SITE SHOP UPDATE: We’re hoping to continue opening the shop on Sunday mornings over the next few months as long as we can get enough volunteers to cover the hours - Thanks to those of you that have already volunteered - if anyone else would like to sign up, please sign up here VolunteerSignup - Online volunteer signup sheets - BRAHA Trading Shed Rota signup sheet
In addition to manure and multi-purpose compost, we also have other useful items available in the shop such as tomato fertiliser and seed trays.
We also have several battery-operated power tools available to borrow on a Sunday morning – a strimmer, hedge trimmer, lawn mower as well as long loppers are available – we just ask that you sign them out and return them before the shop shuts.
WOODY WASTE / DEAD HEDGE: The dead hedge around the seating area in front of the Community Hut is proving really successful, so we’re planning to extend it and keep it going for our woody waste for now. If you’d like any help, please get in touch.
COMPOST/ MULCH: We’ve opened Bin 1 of the communal compost bins. As usual, it may need a bit of a sieve, but please feel free to help yourselves.
Thanks, as always for your continued support.
Kind Regards
BRAHA Committee
