RESPONSE TO CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
We are following government and public health advice to make sure our beneficiaries, service users, staff, volunteers and visitors stay safe while making sure we continue to deliver our services to you. This means that we are changing the way we deliver our information, advice, and advocacy services while most of the activities have been suspended until further notice.
From 17 March 2020, we will no longer deliver our services by drop-ins, appointments and outreach. Instead, our information, advice and advocacy services for Londoners from West Balkans will be delivered over the phone 020 8459 4201 on Mondays and Tuesdays, between 9.00-13.00 and 14.00-17.00 hours.
From 25 March 2020, our welfare benefits advice and support services (including Sufra NW London foodbank vouchers for a pre-packed food parcel home delivery) for the wider Brent community can be accessed through the Brent Council (Brent Hubs triage service) on Wednesdays, between 10.00-13.00 and 14.00-17.00 hours, temporary contact number 020 8937 6792 (option 2).

Information, Advice, and Advocacy including Casework in English-Bosnian-Serbo-Croat languages on Welfare Benefit Rights, Housing, Health, and Community Care provide beneficiaries with easy accessible holistic support and earlier intervention service.
Drop-in: 15 minutes for each client on Mondays, between 9.30-12.30 hours.
By appointments only: Mondays, between 14.00-17.00 hours and Tuesdays, between 9.00-13.00 and 14.00-17.00 hours.

Outreach Welfare Benefits Advice and Support Service at Brent Hubs (Harlesden) for the wider Brent community: working with Brent Council and local organisations and providing a joined-up response to the needs of the local community.
Outreach service provides targeted and independent support to individuals and operates on a first come first served basis on Wednesdays (weekly) and every last Thursday of the month, between 10.00 -17.00 hours.

Food Bank Vouchers: BHCAC staff are authorised by Sufra NW London Food Bank and Ealing Food Bank to give food vouchers to people who need emergency food and toiletries. For a food voucher, please speak to a member of BHCAC staff when you access one of the services stated above.
Floristry Classes in partnership with Brent Start (Brent Council): developing new and creative skills and improving mental health. Mondays, between 14.30-17.00 hours. To join floristry classes, please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org
Social Club run by volunteers provides beneficiaries with opportunities for social interaction. Activities include lunches, talks, music, poetry, chess and domino competitions.

Group Talking Therapies: enabling beneficiaries to manage the psychological crisis. These therapies are for older beneficiaries who speak very little or no English. Facilitated by bi-lingual (English-Bosnian-Serbo-Croat languages) Clinical Psychologist on Saturdays (25th January, 29th February, 21st March and 4th & 18th April 2020) between 13.00-15.00 hours. Walking Activities: encouraging older and/or disabled beneficiaries to increase and develop physical activity. Gentle group walks lead by volunteers with a cafe stop at the end: Summer 2020. Dates to be announced by end of March 2020. To express an interest, please email us on email@example.com

Social and Cultural Events: involving beneficiaries in organising events to promote gender equality, culture and positive interaction with the wider community.
