IMPORTANT SERVICE UPDATES
CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) PREVENTATIVE MEASURES
We continue to operate our full services remotely providing holistic and person-centred support, information, advice, advocacy and casework on Welfare Benefit Rights, Housing, Health and Community Care issues.
Londoners from West Balkan can access our service over the phone 020 8459 4201 on Mondays and Tuesdays, between 9.00-13.00 and 14.00-17.00 hours. Any paperwork can be scanned and sent to us by email or mobile application, more details will be provided once we receive your call.
Our Welfare Benefit Rights advice and practical support service (including e-vouchers for emergency food parcels) for the wider Brent community can be accessed through referral by Brent Hubs (Brent Council) on Wednesdays and Thursdays, between 10.00-13.00 and 14.00-17.00 hours, temporary contact number 020 8937 6792.

THE FOLLOWING SERVICE PROVISION AND ACTIVITIES HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Information, Advice, and Advocacy including Casework in English-Bosnian-Serbo-Croat languages on Welfare Benefit Rights, Housing, Health, and Community Care provide beneficiaries with easy accessible holistic support and earlier intervention service.
Drop-in: 15 minutes for each client on Mondays, between 9.30-12.30 hours.
By appointments only: Mondays, between 14.00-17.00 hours and Tuesdays, between 9.00-13.00 and 14.00-17.00 hours.

Outreach Welfare Benefit Rights Advice and practical support service at Harlesden library (Brent Community Hubs) for the wider Brent community; working with Brent Council and local organisations and providing a joined-up response to the needs of the local community.
Outreach service operates on a first come first served basis on Wednesdays and Thursdays, between 10.00 -13.00 and 14.00-17.00 hours.

Food Bank Vouchers: BHCAC staff are authorised by Sufra NW London Food Bank and Ealing Food Bank to give food vouchers to people who need emergency food and toiletries. For a food voucher, please speak to a member of BHCAC staff when you access one of the services stated above.
Floristry Courses in partnership with Brent Start (Brent Council): developing new and creative skills and improving mental health. Next floristry course is planned for Spring 2021. To join floristry course, please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org
Social Club run by volunteers provides beneficiaries with opportunities for social interaction; reducing isolation and loneliness. Activities include lunches, talks, music, poetry, chess and domino competitions.

Group Talking Therapies: enabling beneficiaries to manage the psychological crisis. These therapies are for older beneficiaries who speak very little or no English. Facilitated by bi-lingual (English-Bosnian-Serbo-Croat languages) Clinical Psychologist on Saturdays, between 13.00-15.00 hours. Walking Activities: encouraging older and/or disabled beneficiaries to increase and develop physical activity. Gentle group walks lead by volunteers with a cafe stop at the end: Spring 2021. Dates to be announced by mid-April 2021. To express an interest, please email us on email@example.com
Welfare Benefits Training and Digital courses: increasing the knowledge of rights and entitlements and helping beneficiaries navigate the benefits system and address digital exclusion. Social and Cultural Events: involving beneficiaries in organising events to promote gender equality, culture and positive interaction with the wider community. Events in 2021: Celebration of International Women's Day on Friday, 12 March 2021 from 2 pm until 5 pm at Harlesden Methodist Church, 25 High Street Harlesden, London NW10 4NE and International Women's Day Lunch on Saturday, 13 March 2021 from 3 pm until 9 pm at BHCAC's premises (rear of 108 High Road Willesden, London, NW10 2PP).
