Hibiki = Harmony in Japanese

Producer – Suntory

The history of Japanese whisky is the history of Shinjiro Torii, the founder of Suntory in 1899. He chose the region of Yamazaki, on the outskirts of Kyoto as the original site of Suntory the birthplace of Japanese whisky. Three rivers meet – softest water – ideal for whisky making.

The Master Blender tastes over 300 malt whisky samples a day

Suntory Whisky distilleries produce over one hundred types of malt whisky; more than any other distillery in the world. Suntory enables diversity through fermentation techniques, shapes and sizes of giant copper pot stills, and the wide variety of cask types used.

Hibiki Whisky is a blend thirty distinctive malt and mellow grain whiskies of varying ages - which are meticulously blended to create a full range flavours and aromas.

Hibiki as a brand was launched in 1989 to commemorate Suntory’s 90th anniversary - Japan’s most highly awarded blended whisky

Made with malt whiskies from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries, as well as grain whisky from the Chita distillery.

The whiskies are drawn from 5 different types of cask, including American white oak casks, Sherry casks and hand-made Mizunara oak casks.
